历史沿革[edit]
清代时归恩平县长居都，民国年间和新中国成立初期划入恩平县第七区夹水乡。[1]1958年归开恩县尖石上锋公社；1959年起成为开平县大沙公社辖下的景星大队；1963年改称夹水大队。[1]1984年改设夹水乡人民政府，1987年称夹水管理区，1999年起为夹水村民委员会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网所录村情记人口1843人、464户，耕地1317亩，未注明统计年份。[1]2019年9月，夹水村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年8月入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为皇帝柑。[1]
