睦洲社区是新会区睦洲镇政府所在地，位于睦洲圩镇，城乡分类为镇中心区，办公地址在睦洲墟镇。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清道光年间的县志上已有睦洲圩。[1]建国后的1954年单设一镇（村级建制），1958年起归睦洲乡管辖，1984年再度分出；此后名称几经变化：先为居委会，1988年一度叫圩镇居民管理区，2000年复称居委会，直到2002年4月改为社区居委会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传这里土名“木洲”，后改用谐音“睦洲”，寓意迁入的各姓居民和睦相处；社区因坐落在睦洲圩镇而得名。[3]
