东成村是新会区睦洲镇的行政村，在镇区以南约5公里，东南濒莲子江和劳龙虎水道，北靠将军山、凤山，与梅大冲村相邻，西倚中处山，与龙泉村接壤。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明崇祯年间，苏姓族人兆池来此定居。清顺治元年（1644年），刘姓族人万胜从罗坑镇官桥村迁入，杨姓族人大全从崖门仙洞迁入，村落形成。[1]民国时已有东成里，属龙泉乡。人民公社时期归龙泉管理区，1959年自成东成大队；改革开放后几次改名，先称乡、村委会，1988年为管理区，1999年定名东成村委会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村在椿柱山之东，取“东成西就”的寓意，故名。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，村内有403户、1314人，旅居海外的侨胞180多人，港澳同胞200多人。总面积2960亩，山地约占1180亩，旱作243亩，水稻800亩，鱼塘417亩；农业、林业和水产业是主要经济来源。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年，东成村被评为省基层治理示范村，同年12月获「广东省卫生村」称号；2022年1月确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2026年3月又列入「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[3][1]
