历史沿革[edit]
清乾隆年间，郑、叶、杨、朱四姓先人分别从睦洲乡和三江马驷迁来耕种，之后翁、林、周、李等姓从三江一带迁入；民国期间梁姓也迁来，逐渐形成4个居民点。[2]建国初期，腰股、莲子塘、东南环合编为莲腰乡，1958年设莲腰管理区，2004年合并为莲腰村委会，一直沿用。[2][1]
地名由来[edit]
由莲子塘、腰股等合为一乡，各取“莲”和“腰”二字为村名。[3]
经济[edit]
其中鱼塘占2400亩，山地170亩，其余1269亩为其他用地，党员81名；2009年村集体收入198万元。[1][2]2021年12月，该村获广东省卫生村称号。[2]
