历史沿革[edit]
15世纪中叶的景泰年间，这一带与新沙同时成田，原籍外海的陈姓族人购得土地，让何、黄、梁等姓农民搭寮代耕，逐步成村，取名南安。[2]民国时隶属外海乡；建国初期先归睦洲乡，次年随新沙并为新沙乡；设立大队是在1959年，到1984年又与新沙、新丰、东环沙三地合编为新沙乡。[2]
地名由来[edit]
村宅建在新沙河南岸；旧时村民住茅舍，最怕火灾，取平安之意，故名南安。[3]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，村内有8个村民小组、470户、总人口1900人，耕地2556亩，其中水稻1020亩、鱼塘826亩；2009年村集体经济总收入约254万元，村民收入主要来自养殖，以及在附近新沙工业园打工。[2]近年村里利用土地确权成果建成休闲生态农田，可采摘的水果有无花果、番石榴、青枣、三华李、火龙果等多种，镇政府的报道称每年有逾10万人前来采摘。[1][4]
文化[edit]
村里设有南安文化博物馆，展出乡村历史和农耕工具。[1]2020年，南安村的经验入选「广东农业农村改革十大典型案例」。[4]此外，2022年8月该村成为「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，2026年1月又被评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[2]
