历史沿革[edit]
相传北宋靖康元年（1126年）这里已有村落，后来陆地不断扩展，居民增多，南宋德祐元年（1275年）形成睦洲村。[2]清康熙年间的县志地图上已标出睦洲。[2]民国至建国初期属睦洲乡，1958年成为睦洲管理区，次年分设五个大队。[2]
地名由来[edit]
相传此地从海中淤积成陆后，有大小沙洲11个，多个姓氏的村民来垦耕，起过纠纷；土名“木洲”，后改谐音“睦洲”，寓意各姓和睦相处。[3]
人口与经济[edit]
村内常住人口5092人，村民代表60名；农业以水稻为主，水产养殖重点是南美白对虾。[1][2]2005年，马崇康大桥建成通车。[4]2023年该村被纳入乡村振兴示范带建设规划，计划用80亩留用地招商储能配套产业，并依托马崇康大桥建设侨文化公园，把“睦洲三宝”的饮食文化做成蚬文化美食街。[1]示范带规划突出该村的历史文化和侨乡特色。[5]
