沙头社区是广东省佛山市三水区西南街道下辖的社区，北临西南涌边公园，东与南海区交界，南到北江。名称取自原沙头村，社区由沙头村、大海边、小海边、九腩洲及水上、渔业两个管理区合并而成。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区前身是沙头管理区，2000年撤销管理区，设沙头社区居民委员会。社区简介另称，居委会2000年由原布心、水上、渔业三个管理区划分合并而成，与地名由来的说法略有不同。[1][3]

地理与人口[edit]

辖区西至西南水闸，面积1.7平方公里。社区简介载在册人口11014人、3758户，流动人口约三千多人。区内有西南二中、实验小学、沙头市场、社会福利院等。[3]
