灯塔村是南三镇下辖的行政村，村名来自1898年法国人在境内建造的灯塔[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1898年法国入侵时，在这一带建有四座灯塔，当地因此有了名气，村名由此而来[1]。维基百科则记载，灯塔岛上的三座灯塔分别建成于1915年、1917年和1918年，其中一座在1946年整修，二说所指的灯塔数量与年份不同[2]。

灯塔乡于1950年设立，隶吴川滨海区，1952年划入第九区；1958年改设灯塔大队，归南三公社。1961年大队一分为四，即沙头、沙腰、雷锡、滘脊；1963年这四个大队重新并成灯塔大队。1983年改称灯塔乡，1987年改称村民委员会，1990年称管理区，1999年定名灯塔村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
