历史沿革[edit]
洲边在1950年3月属南平乡，1958年9月成立生产大队，其后几经易名：1968年为大队革命委员会，1980年11月改回管理委员会，1989年7月称管理区，1992年10月设村民委员会。2004年显和村并入，名称依旧。[1]
自然村与人口[edit]
10个自然村分别叫芹坑、大和、显学、西新、西旧，以及一村至五村。村简介所记户籍人口5892人，常住人口12972人。[2]
经济[edit]
村有耕地1943亩，鱼塘1798亩，林地2649亩。工业以私营小五金为主，源于七十年代的小五金作坊，现有小五金厂八百多家，外来工约七千人。村简介称2009年全村经济总收入35374万元，农民人均所得为10516元。[2]
荣誉：2020至2022年连续上榜淘宝村名单；2026年3月又被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
著名人物[edit]
明代倡建魁岗文塔的李希孔，博雅地名网称其为金本洲边村人。[3]
