历史沿革[edit]
西南镇第四管理区在2000年2月分出文锋东、通宁两个社区居委会，2005年5月二者合并，成为西南街道文锋东社区居委会。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
社区东到区委区政府，南抵涌边路，西至区青少年宫，北靠电信广场，面积1.26平方公里；社区简介载有在册居民2600户、8038人，流动人口约一千多人。区内有区文化馆、区图书馆、文化公园、西南市场和文锋东商业街等。[3]
2024年1月，社区获「2023年全国示范性老年友好型社区」命名。[1]
