历史沿革[edit]
河口原为河口镇，土地改革后属第一区，1957年撤区并乡后称河口乡，1963年并入青岐公社，1979年划出。2002年10月，河口居委会与城河村委会合并为城河社区居委会，2005年10月更名河口社区居委会。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
社区面积21.3平方公里，东邻大塱山村，南接中心城区，北连木棉村，西隔北江与江根村的翠坑相望，321国道纵贯境内。社区简介载在册居民3290户、9272人，下辖7个村民小组。2008年工农业总产值6305万元。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
社区简介说，辖区里受保护的古迹包括魁岗文塔、半江桥，以及旧海关大楼、旧火车站、旧邮局、仁寿坊和荣毅仁故居。[3]
