历史沿革[edit]
地名由来：据当地说法，村庄坐落在古驿道石子路的垇背，故取名沙头。[2]
1949年设沙头农会，1956年升格为沙头高级社，1963年成为沙头大队；1983年起称沙头乡，1988年称沙头管理区，撤销管理区、设立沙头村委会，一直延续至今。[1]
