光华村是杏坛镇西部的行政村，距镇中心城区3.6公里，占地4.21平方千米，14个村民小组，户籍人口4609人[1]。宋代已有人居住，原名凤尾沙，明代因梁、潘、何、吴等姓村民联合抗贼有功，被赐名光华[1]。清同治十年（1871年）文状元梁耀枢出自本村[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，宋代名凤尾沙；明代得赐光华之名[1]。1950年属滩南乡，再后1952年成立光华乡，接着1954年与东村合并称光东乡，随后1958年成立光华大队，其后1999年改称村委会[1]。

文化[edit]

杏龙路与百安路在村内交汇[2]。2020至2022年入选淘宝村名单；之后2019年9月进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。据百度百科，再后2020年实施的村庄规划提出，以乡村风貌和基塘为基底，结合状元文化，建设岭南水乡特色村落[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

村内保存较好的有吴、林、梁、潘四姓祠堂和西成组的敦敦书院[1]。光华梁氏大宗祠称崇德堂，是状元梁耀枢的宗族祠堂，清代建，接着2002年重修[1]。
