西北村是杏坛镇的行政村，在镇中心城区东南1.5公里，占地1.99平方千米，户籍人口2782人[1]。西岸、北头两个村委会在2001年10月28日并为一个，各取一字定名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，合并前的西岸、北头两村，分别取“西”“北”二字合成村名；合并后辖9个村民小组[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

前所何公祠在西岸大路13号，为西岸何氏四世祖前所公设的私伙祠，明末清初始建，随后1876年（光绪二年）重修，三间三进[1]。
