北水村是杏坛镇西北部的行政村，距镇中心城区约6公里，占地3.09平方千米，下设15个村民小组，户籍人口3417人[1]。南宋时尤、吴等姓陆续迁居，因在锦鲤沙之北、临近江边，得名北水[1]。村内的尤列故居是广东省文物保护单位[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网转录的资料，之后1950年属登云乡，再后1952年属吉水乡，接着1955年成立北水乡，随后1958年改称大队，其后1987年改称村，之后1999年定名北水村委会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
尤列故居建于清道光十七年（1837年），砖木结构，二进三间，占地351平方米，再后2002年列为广东省文物保护单位[2]。1895年，尤列与陆皓东、周昭岳等人在村里开办“兴利”蚕种公司，借经营蚕种掩护革命联络，孙中山曾多次在此议事，陆皓东亦在此绘出青天白日旗的初样[3]。故居上世纪60年代受损，后经尤列后人与杏坛镇政府出资修缮，接着2009年完成修复并作展览馆[2]。尢氏大宗祠最先落成的是后座（1725年，雍正三年），中座成于1765年，头门成于1769年，前后共42年[1]。
