上地村是杏坛镇东南部的行政村，距镇中心区约4公里，占地3.02平方千米，14个村民小组，户籍人口3781人[1]。北宋初年曾姓人开村，因养过往客商的牛马而称马村，明代改名上地[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，北宋初年曾姓人在此立村，因饲养往来客商的牛马，得名马村；明代，两位在朝任侍卫的村民觉得村名不雅，改作上地[1]。建县后属昌教堡，再后1950年属高辉乡，接着1952年属和平乡，随后1958年属光辉大队，其后1959年成立上地大队，之后2002年改称上地村委会[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

上地跃龙桥在上地前街，清康熙十七年（1678年）建，为单孔石拱桥，长13.2米，跨前涌，连接前街与东便街[2]。昇平人瑞坊在石狮巷，清同治六年（1867年）为表彰何大宽的百岁而立，是四柱三间的冲天式石牌坊，高5.35米[2]。
