吕地社区位于杏坛镇中心城区，总面积1.38平方千米，下设6个居民小组，户籍人口2579人[1]。因吕姓居多得名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，村因吕姓人居多而名吕地[1]。1950年属龙渚乡，其后1958年划入马齐大队，之后1959年成立吕地大队，再后1963年再入马齐大队，接着1976年复称吕地大队；随后1983年称乡，其后1987年称村，之后1989年改称管理区，再后1999年称吕地村委会，接着2001年改为吕地居委会[1]。社区曾获广东省卫生村、顺德区文明社区等称号[1]。
