罗水社区位于杏坛镇中心城区西北1.5公里，总面积1.87平方千米，下设7个村民小组，户籍人口2265人[1]。南宋末年何姓人先来垦殖，称掘奋村，后罗姓繁衍成大族，改名罗水[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，南宋末年何姓先民迁入垦种，村称掘奋；罗姓后来居多，因村里有“以水为财”的说法，改名罗水[1]。1950年属杏罗乡，其后1958年成立罗水大队，之后1983年称乡，再后1987年称村，接着1989年改称管理区，随后2001年成立居委会[1]。

经济[edit]

顺番公路杏龙段经过社区南部，社区里的立滔制衣厂，属杏坛镇主要的纺织服装企业之列[1]。2019年9月，罗水社区进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
