新联社区在里水镇，辖区面积3.35平方千米[1]；北涌亭原在辖区内的北涌坊[2]。

2011年3月22日，南海区政府批复设立居民委员会（文号「南府复〔2011〕286号」）；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。

北涌亭[edit]

北涌亭创建在1505年（明弘治十八年）；1856年（咸丰六年）重建，1883年（光绪九年）再度修缮；1998年迁往镇区的沿江公园。亭的平面近似正方形，占地64平方米，重檐歇山顶，内柱为木柱，檐柱为八角石柱[2]。1962年7月，广东省人民委员会公布它为文物保护单位[2]。
