历史沿革[edit]
明清属南海县金利司的麻奢堡；1927年属第二区麻奢堡；1928年至1953年归第二区彰善乡；1953至1956年为第九区东明乡；1957至1958年属和顺乡东明片；1959年8月到1968年初，是和顺公社的瑶头大队[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村简介称，辖区耕地610亩、鱼塘248亩、花卉地431.8亩；本地村民1696人，外来人口790人；2007年经济总收入3.1687亿元，其中工业总产值2.8095亿元[1]。
