洲村社区在里水镇东部的金草洲，离镇中心城区3.5千米，隔江毗邻广州白云区金沙洲，含洲村、岗美两个自然村[1]。
关于洲村的始建年份，博雅地名网写作“宋末元至正十年（公元1274年）”，年号与公元纪年不一致，原文未作说明[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
民国到解放初，洲村属南海县第八区贞慎乡；1958年归贞慎大队，1960年单独设洲村大队；1984年改称洲村乡，1987年设村委会，1989年叫管理区，1999年又称村民委员会；2011年“村改居”，设居民委员会[2]。
经济[edit]
社区简介称，约有700户、2700人常住，流动人口约8900人，辖区企业200多家、商铺400多家，企业主要做鞋材[1]。洲村社区2020至2022年连续三年列入淘宝村名单[2]。
里水大石桥[edit]
里水大石桥在洲村，建于清道光二十八年（1848年），由洲村乡民出资建成，是花岗石的墩式梁桥，桥长15米、宽1.8米、高6米，设有栏板和望柱，桥墩下砌船头形分水尖；曾是原南海市文物保护单位[3]。
