芦塘社区位于佛山市南海区狮山镇北部，原属罗村街道，距禅城区约8公里，辖区面积4.5平方公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，芦塘乡隶属南海县黄鼎司的丰宁堡。1927年（民国16年）划归五区，1946年改属四区的芝安乡。1953年3月设芦塘乡，1957年4月成为罗村乡下的农业生产合作社，1958年起属幸福、罗村人民公社。1983年11月撤销公社设乡政府，1987年2月改称村民委员会，1989年6月称管理区，1999年4月复称村民委员会。2011年“村改居”设居民委员会，2013年归狮山镇。[2]

据百度百科，芦塘在南宋绍兴二年开村；社区2019年恢复了华佗诞的节庆活动。[3]

经济与荣誉[edit]

居委会辖10个经济社，其中有7个自然村；户籍人口3254人，外来人口5300多人。[1]社区曾获“广东省卫生村”称号，并在2024年1月被命名为「2023年全国示范性老年友好型社区」。[4]
