弓兜村是汕头市澄海区溪南镇的行政村，在韩江下游，村域位于324国道东侧，距澄海城区约11公里。[1] 地名资料称，村落原是一道南北走向的大沙陇，元至正年间福建诏安人陈恪斋携子到苏湾都一带创居，其长子陈潭沙在沙陇上立村分衍；因村东南建有双座宫（后称银砂古庙），称「宫兜」，「宫」「弓」谐音，写作弓兜；另有一说是村落在沙陇西侧弯处、形如弓。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

弓兜最初隶海阳县苏湾都，成化十三年（1477年）改隶饶平县，到嘉靖四十二年（1563年）澄海置县时才改隶澄海县。[2] 1921年撤都设区，属银砂乡；1946年并入银砂乡；1953年银砂乡分为银北、银南二乡，弓兜与内厝、外蚁、口厝合称银南乡。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

村域占地约1100亩（含农田、池塘），人口约2000人、500户。[1][3] 2018年弓兜村列入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，名单在2019年9月公布。[1] 百度百科还记载，村里保留走老爷、鞭炮阵等民俗。[3]
