董坑村是汕头市澄海区溪南镇西北部的行政村，南倚南峙山，北濒韩江，是以种草莓闻名的农业村，在抗日战争和解放战争时期属革命老区。[1][3] 村名来自五代后晋天福三年（938年）董姓先人在近坑处建村，明代时村里已有16个姓氏聚居，称「董厝坑」。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
董坑原属海阳县苏湾都，明成化十三年（1477年）改属饶平县，嘉靖四十二年（1563年）起归澄海县苏湾都。[2] 1932年设董坑乡，属第五区（东陇）；1946年与塘陇、梅洲、仙门合并为水南乡；1953年梅洲、董坑两乡合并，称梅洲乡。[2] 1959年设董坑生产大队，1984年设董坑乡，1986年11月撤区置镇后设董坑村，1998年9月起沿用现名。[2]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所录村情，村里有605户，共2450人；土地1280亩，山地占400亩，耕地连同渔池共880亩；九成五以上的村民务农。[1] 1999年汕头市把董坑定为草莓发展生产基地，称它是「一村一品」的草莓专业村。[1] 2020年8月，董坑村进入广东省农业农村厅公布的首批省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，项目是草莓。[1][3]
文化[edit]
百度百科记载，村里的资福寺始建于938年，到清康熙年间迁址重建，改称董坑寺。[3] 民国年间，侨领林伯歧也曾在村里兴办学校。[3]
