窖东村是汕头市澄海区莲下镇西北部的行政村，虎丘山东北面，丘陵多。旧时与窖西同称窖美，名称来自宋代这里窑窖烧缶；1900年分为东西两村。[1][2]2005年被评为省级生态示范村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

相传陈、郑二姓于南宋淳祐年间（1241—1252年）从福建莆田迁来。1900年窖美以村中山丘为界分为窖东、窖西，1949年改今名；1961年设窖东生产大队，1984年与窖西、管陇合称窖陇乡，1987年后独立设村。[2]

地理人口[edit]

村域0.62平方千米，耕地192亩，山地631亩。2009年底165户694人，有陈、郑2姓。[2]

经济文化[edit]

1958年起开山种果，现山坡多种荔枝、龙眼，村民兼种草莓，特产有北洋鲤鱼。1958年成立窖东潮剧团，曾到粤东和福建演出。[2]
