渡亭村是汕头市澄海区莲下镇中部的行政村，在莲阳河东岸，旧称杜王洲，1914年因渡口边建了一座亭子而改名渡亭。[1][2]2009年底全村768户3589人，蔡、陈、林三姓为主。[2]村民长期兼营捕鱼，以“叉鞋底鱼”闻名；2020至2022年连续被评为淘宝村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明嘉靖三十一年（1552年）前后，杜、王两姓迁来定居，村子因此叫杜王洲，后来蔡、陈、林诸姓陆续迁入。村口有渡船往来对岸的维舟亭与杜王洲之间，渡口建了一亭，1914年村名随之改为渡亭。[1][2]

此后几经分合，先后属八联乡、溪联乡、潮港乡、莲阳下乡，1958年编为110团，1959年起单独设村。[2]

人口姓氏[edit]

村域面积0.97平方千米，耕地647亩。2009年底768户3589人，有蔡、陈、林、沈、郭、卢、黄七姓，蔡、陈、林为主姓：蔡姓自澄海龙田迁来，陈姓来自建阳和埔美，林姓来自华富。[2]

经济[edit]

1949年以前多数村民租田耕种，临江的人家兼事捕鱼，清光绪年间已有人驾小舟“叉鞋底鱼”、捞银鱼，民国年间有渔船15艘。1976年起捕捞鳗苗，1984年办起鳗鱼养殖场，鳗池一度达200多亩；1990年代又兴起养鸡。[2]

1939年村民合资造了中型木船5艘和大型木船25艘，跑本县及周边的沿海、内河航运。1993年、2000年先后开辟后溪片和港尾片工业区，企业以塑料玩具为主。[2]渡亭村在2020年、2021年和2022年均上了淘宝村名单。[1]

文化教育[edit]

村中延福寺始建于1752年（乾隆十七年），1998年重建。1950年旅泰华侨蔡大盛等捐资办起渡亭小学。清末书画家蔡心侬是本村人，擅画水墨竹。[2]
