后沟村在隆都镇东南部，距店市约3公里，辖后沟、东沟两个自然村。[1]相传宋代这里已成村落，因一条通向南溪的大水沟位于前沟村之后而得名。[3][2]村民以许姓为主。[3]1927年迎接南昌起义军进汕的筹备会议在村中的丽泽斋召开，村子是大革命时期隆都农民运动的发源地。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地起初隶海阳县，明成化十三年（1477年）改隶饶平县隆眼城都；1941年隶隆南乡，1946年改隶西隆乡；1949年10月划归澄海县隆都区。[1]1953年设后沟乡；1956年与冠美、西洋、南溪三乡合称南溪乡；1959年设后沟生产大队；1984年1月设后沟乡。[1]

经济[edit]

据村情资料，全村有1298户、5189人，占地2.7平方公里，耕地852亩，种水稻、玉米、荔枝和番石榴，是隆都镇优质水果的主要产地之一。[3]烧制砖瓦是村里的传统工艺，有近千年历史，见于《潮州志》。[3]2009年人均收入3660元，其中工业产值6320万元、农业产值2075万元。[3]

2024年1月，后沟村获确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

丽泽斋是1927年迎接南昌起义军进汕筹备会的会址，同年中共潮澄饶中心县委也设在这里；1963年又由澄海县人民委员会定为重点文保单位。[3]民国时期曾任饶平县长的许春华是后沟人。[3]
