南溪村在隆都镇东部，距店市约5公里，因村子临近韩江支流南溪而得名，元朝至正年间立村。[1][2]这里是潮汕早期的革命根据地之一，1940年曾是中共潮澄饶中心县委的驻地。[1]2023年11月，南溪村被认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
《南溪乡志》（2011年版）记载，赵氏始祖贞斋公在元朝至正年间从福建泉州迁来创村；起初村分南溪头和下南溪两处，后合称南溪，旧时也叫溪头村。[1][2]
明成化十三年（1477年）起隶饶平县隆眼城都；1949年10月划入澄海县隆都区；到1953年与大东山合称南溪乡；1959年设南溪生产大队；1984年1月设南溪乡；1986年11月撤区置镇，设南溪村；1990年9月设管理区，1998年9月复称南溪村。[1]
经济[edit]
据村情资料，南溪村有住户780户、3115人，耕地674亩，种水稻、花生、玉米和蔬菜；山地764亩，种橄榄、柿、桃、李、柚等。[1]2009年人均收入3162元，其中工业产值4400万元、农业产值1685万元。[1]
革命史迹[edit]
在长期斗争中，南溪出过赵从元、赵从护、赵世荣等16位烈士，村里立有烈士纪念碑一座；民国时期，村人赵国钧、赵从茂两人官至将军。[1]2026年1月，南溪获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
