上西村在隆都镇东部，位于西陵山以西，距店市约3公里，名字即由此而来。[1][2]村辖夏厝、田边、东乡、樟山、冠美、大巷、关脚七个设经济联合社的自然村。[1]2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把它列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」的创建对象。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明成化十三年（1477年）改隶饶平县隆眼城都；1949年10月划入澄海县隆都区；到1953年称冠美乡；1956年冠美、西洋、南溪、后沟四乡合称南溪乡。[1]
1959年设上西生产大队；1984年1月设上西乡；1986年11月撤区置镇，设上西村；1990年9月设管理区，1998年9月起称上西村。[1]
经济[edit]
据村情资料，全村有住户1302户、约5000人，耕地1500亩，种番石榴、水稻、花生、甘蔗，也有柑、龙眼、香蕉。[1]2009年人均收入3418元，其中工业产值14062万元、农业产值2152万元。[1]
