福洋村在隆都镇西南部，紧邻店市，明朝创村，全村潘姓。[1][3]村名原为「北洋」，因潮汕话中「北」与「幅」同音而写成幅洋，后取「福」字寓意好，改作福洋。[2]村里旅居海外的乡亲数倍于本村人口，素有侨乡之称。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
村子原隶饶平县隆眼城都；1949年10月划入澄海县隆都区；到1953年福洋、尾头、鹊巷、卢厝四地并成鹊巷乡；1956年并入樟籍乡；1959年设福洋生产大队；1984年1月设福洋乡；1986年11月撤区置镇，设福洋村；1990年9月设管理区，1998年9月起称福洋村。[1]
经济[edit]
据村情资料，福洋占地约1平方公里，有住户550多户、2236人，耕地503亩，种蔬菜、龙眼、荔枝、番石榴和台湾青枣。[3]村中从事工业和服务业的人不少，行业有印刷、制糖、食品、服装、珠绣、刻板、制纸，多为家庭作坊，另有近百家个体户。[3]2009年人均收入3511元，其中工业产值4530万元、农业产值897万元。[3]
著名人物[edit]
清末曾任海南郡守的潘存，其先祖是福洋人；北京大学教授、大熊猫研究专家潘文石也出自福洋。[3]
