波头村是广东省汕头市潮阳区金灶镇辖下的行政村，位于小北山下。据博雅地名网转载的村情简介，全村651户、2892人（简介未注明统计年份）。2003年金玉、灶浦两镇合并前，它属灶浦镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：村子处在河流发源的起头处，故名波头。[1]

明万历四十七年（1619年），先祖南轩公从揭阳横岗乡迁来定居。[1]

1958年成立波头农业生产大队，1984年改乡，1986年设村委会，1999年属灶浦镇。[1]

经济[edit]

据村情简介，全村耕地780亩，林地1180亩，辖1个自然村。当地主要出产香蕉、生柑。近年的荣誉和入选情况：2017年10月获评第一批广东省卫生村。[1][2]
