大吴村是广东省汕头市潮阳区金灶镇辖下的行政村，位于金灶镇六支路西侧，与玉林村相邻。据博雅地名网转载的村情简介，全村300户、1310人（简介未注明统计年份）。2003年金玉、灶浦两镇合并前，它属金玉镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：地势低洼如窖，早先叫大窖村，后来村中以吴姓为主，改为现名。[1]

南宋建炎元年（1127年），吴氏先人从潮阳奉恩乡麻田迁到现址立村。[1]

1958年起属苏洋农业生产大队，至1984年恢复为大吴乡，1986年设村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

据村情简介，全村耕地550亩，辖1个自然村。当地主要出产香蕉、生柑、水稻。近年的荣誉和入选情况：2017年10月获评第一批广东省卫生村；村情简介列有2000年度潮阳无毒村、2002年潮阳市先进基层党组织等称号。[1][2]
