历史沿革[edit]
名称由来：村地南临潮水溪，溪面宽而直，原称直浦，后雅称玉浦。[1]
据村情简介，村建于北宋熙宁年间（1068年至1077年），明清时划在直浦都；新中国成立初隶属潮阳县十六区，1958年入光锋公社，1961年改归金玉公社；1984年成玉浦乡，1986年成立村委会，1988年为管理区，1999年起设居委会。[1]
