名称与历史[edit]
村子位于榕江下游南岸，地势低洼，故名下底。[1]宋咸淳年间（1264年至1274年）先人到此建村；1958年公社化时为下底大队，1984年改设下底乡，1986年改村委会，1988年改管理区，1999年再定名村民委员会。[1]
荣誉与村情[edit]
下底村于2019年6月进入「第五批中国传统村落名录」；以水稻入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（2020年8月公布）。[1]据村简介，全村共有8381人、1783户，耕地2300亩，近年另建新村址，村内小路铺成水泥路。简介未注明年份。[1]
黄武贤[edit]
黄武贤（1821年至1897年）生于潮阳县直浦都夏林，行伍出身，参与过镇压太平天国和西北回民起义，后任云南提督，光绪十三年（1887年）告老还乡，卒于家。[2]百度百科记其出生地为今关埠镇下底村，信息框另写作厦底村。[2]
