龙西村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇西北角的丘陵地带，2004年由龙寮、西寮两村合并而成，面积1.548平方千米，有2070人、400户[1]。

地名与历史[edit]

村名取龙寮、西寮两个自然村名的首字[2]。龙寮创于明嘉靖年间（1522—1566年），西寮由祖先于明崇祯年间（1628—1644年）创建；1952年与埔美合并为埔龙西大队，1982年拆分为两个村委会，2004年合并为龙西村[1]。

经济[edit]

山地1182亩、耕地381亩，以果林业和水稻为主，西寮有种植中草药的传统。2021年9月，龙西村入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（中草药）；2013年村集体收入66.3万元，年人均收入6723元[1]。
