陂头村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇，面积2.848平方千米，有7180人、1400户，耕地1477亩、山地1268亩，经济以农业为主[1]。村北有山坡自西向东延伸，村址在山坡西部，故名[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武年间（1368—1398年），祖先到此建村，名陂头村；1949年起叫陂头乡，1958年更名为四光农业生产大队，1961年更名为陂头农业生产大队，1984年改乡，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1]。2013年村集体收入13.93万元，农民年人均收入6200元[1]。
