据博雅地名网所载沿革，该村1961年起称朋山大队，1983年设朋山乡，1986年又称朋山农村管理区，至1999年组建村民委员会，名称延用到现在。[1]
荣誉[edit]
被列为广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）的创建对象（2019年9月公布）。[1]
