下村社区是深圳市光明区公明街道下辖的社区，位于街道北部。[1] 北接李松蓢、西田两社区，东邻上村社区，南面与合水口、公明两社区相连；辖区面积约3平方千米。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

百度百科称宋代有陈氏迁此建村；博雅地名网据《陈氏宗亲族谱》，说陈忠的第三子陈昂在宋徽宗十五年由东莞七都迁来定居。[1][3] 1951年从水贝村分出，定名下村，属宝安县四区；1963年2月公明公社合并大队，下村、李松蓢、西田合为下村大队。[3] 1993年1月属宝安区公明镇，2004年7月改制为下村社区居委会，隶属公明街道。[3][1]

人口与经济[edit]

2021年社区常住人口超过3.35万人，户籍人口约1110人。[1] 社区以城中村改造为重点，建成了西柚小镇产业项目，土地整备利益统筹项目也在推进。[1] 2022年8月，下村入选第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区，并被定为广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[3] 治理上推行「五微」体系和「近邻课堂」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东宝中学旧址在上村站与下村站之间，主体是约300年前陈氏家族建的古祠堂，1944年冬东江纵队借它办起东宝地区首所抗日民主学校。[4] 茅洲河畔的下村社区还有深潜水上运动中心，是赛艇训练和赛事基地。[4] 据光明区政府的访谈，公明烧猪由下村人陈铁林1941年首创。[5]
