龙岗社区在龙岗街道中心，面积约3.2平方千米，东面以向东路与龙新社区为界，西至龙城北路，南到龙平东路，北到新生路。[1] 辖区总人口约4.26万人，其中户籍人口6421人，本地户籍人口3078人。[1]

居民小组与集体经济[edit]

社区分13个居民小组，名称有梨园、上圩、石湖、杨梅冈、吓埔、罗卜坝、福和、后尾坜、市区、梨一、洪围、格水、梁屋。[1] 集体经济由龙岗区龙岗股份合作公司经营，各小组各设分公司，共2080名股东；公司名下的厂房约20万平方米，商业楼宇约10万平方米。[1]

经济与设施[edit]

辖区内有一处高新科技工业园区，社区自办的工业园区3个，即顺富科技园和龙南、龙河两个工业区，各类市场6家；出租屋共3057栋，计31945套（间），花园小区只有龙园大观花园和金阳成大厦。[1] 社区里设有中国国际象棋国家队的深圳龙岗基地，龙园公园和龙园奇石文化馆也在辖区；这些场地承办过国际象棋排位赛、奇石创意展、龙舟赛等活动，也是文博会的活动场地。[1]
