官渡社区是韶关市翁源县官渡镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心区，区划代码440229109001；官渡镇的镇名，正是由此处的渡口而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

官渡一带旧称细草岗，后来因几条溪流在此汇合而改称九龙铺。相传从前有一位在外做官的人回乡，途经此地遇滃江涨水过不去，便出钱买下一条船、请船夫摆渡；官员过河后，船和船夫就留在原处载送行人，渡口由此形成，百姓为纪念他，把渡口叫作官渡。[1]博雅地名网的镇页把这位官员写作寨下人，社区页则写作礤下人，两处说法不一。[1][2]

据区划资料，社区在1949至1957年为官渡乡，1958至1983年为官渡大队，1983至1986年复称官渡乡，1986至1993年称居委会，1993至1998年为官渡管理区，1998年起称官渡社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]
