历史沿革[edit]
村名的说法是本村在华东自然村，又处于乡镇东边。[1]据区划资料，华东在1949至1957年为华东乡，1958至1983年为华东大队，1983至1986年复称华东乡，1986至1993年为华东村委会，1993至1998年为华东管理区，1998年起称华东村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
地理环境[edit]
国道358线横贯全村，离县城19公里，辖区面积约13平方千米，分15个村民小组，居民2611人。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
解放战争时期，村内东坑、瓦窑头是游击队的活动基地。[2]
经济[edit]
村里的瓦窑头莲藕和三华李是特色产业，莲藕种植250多亩，三华李360多亩；有肉猪养殖场8个、家庭农场3家，并办有镇级农村电商平台，以直播销售农产品。[2]
