历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来是古时有人从福建迁到这里。[1]据区划资料，新北在1949至1957年为新北乡，1958至1983年为新北大队，1983至1986年复称新北乡，1986至1993年为新北村委会，1993至1998年为新北管理区，1998年起称新北村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村离县城37公里、离镇政府8公里，下辖11个村民小组，户籍人口为3433人，常住的有1817人；汕昆高速擦过村北，韶新高速擦过村东。[2]
经济[edit]
全村有畜禽规模养殖场25户，种植兰花、水稻、甘蔗和水晶梨，柠檬、水晶梨等约350亩，注册合作社3家、家庭农场8家。[2]
荣誉[edit]
- 2020年5月，新北村被命名为韶关市2020年市级「民主法治村（社区）」。[1]
