历史沿革[edit]
村名因靠近翁江河而来。[1]据区划资料，河边在1949至1957年为河边乡，1958至1983年为河边大队，1983至1986年复称河边乡，1986至1993年为河边村委会，1993至1998年为河边管理区，1998年起称河边村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域面积约9.5平方千米，分9个村小组，居民约3049人。[2]
经济[edit]
村里种水稻约1400亩、蔬菜约500亩，另有三华李、水晶梨、年桔、黄金奈李等水果约210亩，注册合作社2家、家庭农场3家。近两年发展本地特产米粉加工，引进的米面加工厂总投资约600万元，可带动三十多人就业。[2]
