南塘村位于江尾镇境内，处在北江支流滃江的上游，境内的湖心坝民居群是江尾镇最重要的古建筑群。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1957年这里是南塘村乡，1958年改为南塘村大队；1983年复称南塘村乡，1986年起设村委会，1993年改称管理区，1998年定名南塘村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

韶关市规划在2020年前打造50个“旅游名村”，南塘村是最先确定的5个示范点之一。2020年8月，它被认定为「首批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」，产业方向是葡萄。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 农业农村部在2017年9月推介南塘村为「2017年中国美丽休闲乡村」。[1]
  • 2020年5月，南塘村获韶关市命名为「2020年市级民主法治村（社区）」；2022年1月成为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2024年4月入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

湖心坝民居群也叫长安围、湖心坝客家群楼，在南塘村，据传明正统年间开始营建，距今550多年；占地约15万平方米，建筑面积约6万平方米。围楼原有59座，其中27座因失修而倒塌、拆除或改建，余下32座仍保留着旧时的主体结构和特色。[2] 民居群连同长安围、外翰第、大夫第和三门楼，于2010年5月10日公布为第六批广东省文物保护单位；到2020年，景区又获评国家3A级旅游景区。[2]

南塘村的永初公祠，初建年代已无从查考，1712年（清康熙五十一年）重建，1836年（道光十六年）修过一次，占地609平方米，格局为五进的四合院。[1]
