民族村在鹤山市共和镇区西南，与镇区相邻，总面积3.9平方千米，共8条自然村：庄头、藏龙、新村、南塘、三和、南胜、中兴、上苑。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名取自三民主义的「民族、民权、民生」。[1]清代属鹤山县新化都，民国属第三区；1958年为共和公社民族大队，1983年称民族乡，1986年称民族管理区，1998年起称民族村村民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
东接铁岗社区，南隔三水与新会区大泽相望，西连新民、平连一带，北邻良庚村。村北有佛开高速公路经过，共和通往新民的公路从村中穿过；地形属丘陵。[1]
经济[edit]
2008年的人口为1306人，另有460位华侨和港澳同胞；有耕地1024亩、山地1200亩、鱼塘750亩，以水稻为主，盛产塘鱼，兼种花生、瓜菜；人均收入6908元，全村经济总收入合计2239万元。[1]
2026年1月，民族村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
