历史沿革[edit]

沥南在1953年属高要六区的赤坳乡，1958年建沥南大队，之后多次调整，1998年定名沥南村民委员会。2025年10月，它同其他八村一起转入高明区。^[1]^[2]^[3]

村在丘陵地带，离镇区5公里，3个村民小组，约2平方公里；2019年有户籍人口1099人，集体经济主要靠养鱼。2018年入选「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。2019至2035年的村庄规划提到，广湛铁路新干线机场站的选址与该村相关。^[3]
