巷口村是广州市增城区新塘镇东部、沙埔片区北侧的行政村，在上巷、官道的巷口另建新村，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在上巷和官道两处的巷口另立新村，所以叫巷口。[1]

新中国成立前，巷口在雅瑶乡之内，1949年后划入第七区。合作化时期，村里先成立初级社（1956年），次年升为高级社；1958年是仙村公社下的巷口大队。1983年归雅瑶乡，1987年雅瑶乡改称雅瑶村委会，仍属仙村镇，1989年改隶沙埔镇。巷口村民委员会在1990年自雅瑶村委会分设；沙埔镇于2004年并入新塘镇，巷口便归新塘镇。[1]

地理与荣誉[edit]

荔新公路、广惠高速、新新公路和石新公路经过村域。[2]巷口村在2023年5月得到广东省爱卫会授予的广东省卫生村称号（2022年度）；它在2021年、2022年的淘宝村名单上也有名字。[1]
