历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村名来自村中一处叫白石岗仔的土名；村民委员会设在光明村。[1]
新中国成立前称白石，1951年土地改革时为白石乡，1956年建白石高级社，1958年改称白石大队，隶属新塘公社；1983年改为白石乡，1987年设白石村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里商铺集中，设有一个农贸综合市场。白石村在2020年至2022年的淘宝村名单上都有名字，2024年11月又入选广州市充分就业社区（村）。[1]
