东洲村是广州市增城区新塘镇西南部的行政村，位于东江河畔，隔江与东莞市麻涌相望，辖区面积约3平方公里。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子位于河涌之东，与西洲相对，因此叫东洲；新中国成立前就用这个名字。^[1]

1951年土地改革时称东白小乡，1956年设东洲高级社，1958年为东洲大队，隶属新塘公社；1983年改为东洲乡，1987年撤乡改村，设东洲村民委员会。^[1]

这里过去是鱼米之乡，当地以东洲杨桃出名。后来新塘港客货运码头、东洲油脂公司等二十多家企业陆续建在村东的江边，务工经商成为村民的主要收入来源。^[1]

据博雅地名网，村有九个经济合作社，户籍常住的有1208户、4837人，外来暂住约2500人；按2009年统计，集体经济收入约为120万元，村民人均8214元。^[1]

东洲村在2020年至2022年的淘宝村名单上有名字，2021年12月被授予广东省卫生村称号。^[1]
