历史沿革[edit]
村子地处明代县城通往东洲的驿道旁，当地习称官路，官湖之名由此演变。[1]
新中国成立前称官湖，1951年土改后划入瑶田乡，1956年成立官湖高级社，1958年改为新塘公社的官湖大队；1983年改为官湖乡，1987年设官湖村民委员会。[1]
地理与荣誉[edit]
村北靠广深铁路和广园快速路，东面有石新公路穿过，南面有广深公路与环城路，西接瑶田村和汇美开发区。[1]官湖村在2021年、2022年的淘宝村名单上有名字，2024年11月入选广州市充分就业社区（村）。[1]
